Baking Cinnamon Roll (korvapuusti)

日常生活

Moi! After Vappu, which is Finnish Mayday, it suddenly got warmer and almost all days have been sunny recently. I’m sooooo happy to feel the actual arrival of spring finally.

My stay here is until the next month, so I started to do everything I wanted to do here. One of them was to bake cinnamon rolls as they’re very popular in Finland.

First, I baked it for myself, but it didn’t expand at all; it obviously failed. They were burned a bit and so hard that I felt miserable when I had to eat them. After reflecting on the process in which I baked them, I found out that I might have killed East when I poured the heated milk and sugar into it. That should be the reason for my failure.

At least, the shape was cute….

After this accident, I consulted my Finnish friend who is so good at baking that he bakes bread at least twice a week. Then, we revenge it with our friends! It was a big project because we ended up baking around 60 cinnamon bans!

At first, I didn’t understand why we had to bake so many cinnamon bans, but my friend suggested it so that we could share them with our friends. I respect his generosity and tendency to share joy with other people.

Those cinnamon bans were so yummy that I ate three of them when we baked. Namnam! (yummy in Finnish) Fresh cinnamon bread was the best of all I had ever eaten before.

By baking cinnamon bans with my friends, I could achive one of my dreams and know the good aspect of my friend. I will remember this memory whenever I eat cinnamon bread in the future.
